I am the father of a current 11th grader and I attended a Suited 4 Success workshop when my son was in the 10th grade. I was able to learn that early preparation for college was essential. Ms. Robinson impressed upon us the importance of course selections for students even at the 9th grade level and parent involvement in monitoring their students’ academic progress. Ms. Robinson stressed the importance of available resource as it relates to college research and scholarships. More importantly her work with parents did not end at the conclusion of the workshop; she continues sending parent’s informative college bound resources.

What's Happening August 1st? The Common Application Opens!

The Common Application is a college admission application for undergraduates founded over 35 years ago, created to sum up the application process. There are a total of 517 member colleges around the globe located in 47 states, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The advantage to this application is that it is electronic (online) and that only one application is needed to be sent to multiple colleges and or universities. An essay of 650 words or less is a requirement for the application. The applicant has a choice between 5 topics to demonstrate personal experiences and thoughts. Also, different colleges have different requirements such as additionaln essays and questions when applying.
